How Fast Can a Home Be Staged?

A staged dining area with a wood table and rattan bistro chairs

With OC Home Staging, a quote arrives within 24 hours and most installs happen 1–2 days after you confirm. The install itself is one visit, and the home is ready for the photographer the same day. The usual delays are on the seller's side: cleaning, repairs and access.

The timeline, step by step

  • Day 0: you send the address, square footage and list date. We reply with a quote within 24 hours.
  • Confirmation: you approve the quote and we set the install date, usually 1–2 days out.
  • Install day: the crew delivers, places and styles everything in one visit.
  • Same day or next morning: the photographer shoots.

What slows things down

  • The home is not empty or clean yet. Furniture cannot go in over a contractor's tools or a previous owner's boxes.
  • Utilities are off. We need lights to style, and the photographer needs them too.
  • HOA rules. Some buildings require a reserved elevator or limit delivery hours. Ask the HOA early.
  • Lockbox or key access is not arranged.

How to be ready when we arrive

  • Finish paint, flooring and repairs first.
  • Have the home cleaned, including windows.
  • Leave power and water on.
  • Tell us about stairs, gate codes and parking.

If you have a hard deadline

Say so in the quote request. If the listing date or the photographer is already booked, we work backward from it. See Staging a Flip on a Deadline for how investors plan around this.

Questions

How long does it take to stage a house?
