Does Staging Help a Home Sell Faster?

Agents say it often does. In NAR's 2025 Profile of Home Staging, 49% of sellers' agents reported that staging reduced time on market, including 19% who said it reduced it greatly. And 83% of buyers' agents said staging made it easier for buyers to picture the property as their future home.
The numbers
From the 2025 NAR report:
- 49% of sellers' agents saw time on market drop for staged homes. 30% said slightly and 19% said greatly.
- 29% of agents said staging raised the dollar value offered by 1% to 10% compared with similar unstaged homes.
- 83% of buyers' agents said staging helped buyers visualize the property as a future home.
These figures are what agents observed in their own business. They are not a controlled study, and no stager can promise a sale date.
Why speed and staging go together
Most buyers see a listing online before they see it in person. Photos of furnished rooms get more attention than photos of empty ones, and more attention in the first week means more showings while the listing is new.
Speed matters to your costs too
Each month a vacant home sits, the seller pays the mortgage, taxes, insurance, utilities and HOA dues. A quick install helps here as well: we reply to quote requests within 24 hours and usually install 1–2 days after you confirm, so staging does not hold up the listing date.
One of our clients put it this way in a public review: the home had been on the market empty for 35 days with no offers, and received two offers within 7 days of staging, with no price reduction. That is one seller's experience, and results differ from home to home.
